He received his education as a painter at the Art Studio of Lev Ovchinnikov and as a graphic artist at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. In his early career, he worked as an animation artist at the popular science film studio “Lennauchfilm” and contributed to the founding of the “Anna Akhmatova. Silver Age” museum.

Egorov was the first to create a Russian Tarot deck – the “Egorov Tarot” or “Egorov Golden Russian Tarot Deck” – published by Piatnik in Vienna in 1992.

The roots of his artistic vision lie in the Russian Silver Age and the tradition of the 19th- and 20th-century Russian Cosmists, such as Malevich, Kandinsky, and Roerich. Their art was grounded in the insight that the inner world of a human being is of cosmic origin, carries cosmic meaning, and bears cosmic responsibility. Inspired by this legacy, Egorov’s work seeks to bear witness to the deep interconnectedness of all life and to create images that reconcile opposites and reflect the hidden harmony of the world.

His artistic universe often takes the form of a timeless fairy tale – a realm beyond the binary of good and evil, expressing the longing for inner transformation and wholeness. To deepen this path, he became a Dzogchen practitioner in 1998 under the lineage of Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche.

Since 2001, he has been living, working, and practicing in Switzerland, where he continues to integrate art, philosophy, and contemplative insight into a unified creative expression.

Tarot Decks by Egorov:
*Egorov Tarot Cards (Ferd.Piatnik & Söhne, Vienna) – 1992
*Virgin Tarot Cards (Collection of Stuart R.
